YELLOWSTONE TRIP

My sister April and her husband have taken jobs at Yellowstone National Park.  Dan is overseeing the construction of some scenic overlooks and April is the office manager for the construction company.  They are living in Yellowstone National Park.  We had to visit and take my parents who had never been there before.  I insisted they go with us.  It was a long trip but it was wonderful.  We saw so much while we were there.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

We spent a week at Yellowstone National Park.  We had a great time and saw a lot of animals.  We want to go back again and spend more time there.  Nora loved it.  Muffin was very well behaved and is such a great little traveler.  Nora is a great traveler too but not so little anymore.

MORE OF MUFFIN

MEET MUFFIN

We have a new family member.  His name is Muffin.  Nora has wanted a dog for so long and we finally gave up and got a dog.  We found him in a shelter.  He is a few months past one year old.  He has been pretty good so far but we've only had him for a few days.  He is so friendly and loves everyone.  Nora thinks he is wonderful.

We finally got our old car finished.  It looks great.  It only took 23 years.

NORA ON A POGO STICK

Here's Nora on a Pogo Stick.  Last year we were applauding for three jumps in a row.  She has improved so much.  We are very proud of her.

YESTERLAND FARM

Nora and Cody spent a Saturday at Yesterland Park.  They had a wonderful time.  Nora loves spending time with her cousin.  Cody is a favorite.  They are very near the same age and seem to love to do the same things.  They always play well together.

FAMILY REUNION

My Uncle Ray and his family came to visit.  We had a wonderful day.  We hadn't seen my cousins in years.  My dad has only one brother and no sisters.  My mom has no siblings.  I have only two first cousins.       We were all thrilled for the time we spent with them.  We were blessed with beautiful weather and enjoyed the day very much.  I have lots of pictures and plan to post more later (when I have time to upload them).

LANDSCAPING COMPLETED

and it's only taken 4 years (it was worth the wait).
Our Backyard

We now have a small waterfall (it sounds wonderful)

Our Front Yard

Our landscaping ended on a not so good note when we tried before.  The man doing the landscaping died in the middle of the job.  After a couple of years we tried once again and everything turned out beautiful.  We've spent more time outside in the past six weeks than we ever have.  The waterfall makes such a peaceful sound and we all love being outside now.  We even had a family reunion outside (pictures will be posted later).

Nora's Favorite Antique Car in the Museum

She has good taste in cars.  This is a Duesenberg.  Of course Nora liked it best because it was pink.  Duesenbergs are where the expression "It's a Duesy" comes from.  It was and I guess will always be the ultimate in cars.  There has never been anything better.  In the 1920's a duesenberg sold for over $6000.  Today they cost several million.
